OnePlus 13T to Launch With 6,000mAh Battery, Smart Button Feature

OnePlus is reportedly set to replace its long-standing Alert Slider feature with a newly developed smart button on its upcoming OnePlus 13T smartphone. This shift marks a potential design transformation in the brand's future flagship devices.

The smart button, according to early disclosures, will extend beyond the traditional silent, ring, and vibrate functions of the Alert Slider. Company officials indicate that it will introduce broader utility, enabling users to customize tasks and shortcuts based on individual preferences. The intention behind this change is to offer a more adaptable and user-centric experience.

OnePlus China President Li Jie recently offered a preview of this button, stating that it will enhance functionality and personalization. While not all features have been publicly detailed, the company emphasized that the design was shaped by user feedback and demands for increased usability.

If reports hold, the OnePlus 13T will be the first device from the brand to exclude the Alert Slider. This aligns with OnePlus' efforts to streamline phone design while incorporating flexible control options.

Another development is the focus on compact design. The OnePlus 13T is expected to feature a flat screen and a smaller form factor, reflecting insights gathered from customers who prefer devices with reduced dimensions. While the company has not confirmed measurements, sources suggest a display size of 6.3 inches.

Additionally, specifications shared by Li Jie confirm that the 13T will house a 6,000mAh battery. Despite its large battery, the phone is expected to weigh around 185 grams, a reduction compared to the 210-gram OnePlus 13.

While the official release date of the OnePlus 13T has not been disclosed, industry analysts expect a formal announcement later this month.
